Green dressings are so delicious and can make you feel like you’re getting even more veggies into your diet! Much like my Homemade Green Goddess Dressing recipe, this Avocado Ranch is packed with flavor and healthy ingredients.
If you prefer a more conventional ranch dressing and also hate mayo (hollah), check out my Dairy-Free Ranch Dressing and Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing.
This paleo salad dressing would work great as a dip for Air Fryer Zucchini Chips, Air Fryer Green Bean Fries, with chips/crackers, as a topping for Pressure Cooker Chicken Tacos, or an amazing sauce to be drizzled over Kale Chopped Salad or Loaded Sweet Potatoes.

I used dried herbs to make it more accessible and affordable. I adore fresh herbs, so if you prefer to use fresh, please see measurements in the recipe notes of the printable recipe card. If you have any leftover fresh herbs, try whipping up a batch of Whole30 Pesto for some amazing meals.
And before you ask (because you will), I got those adorable little spice tins on Amazon. And yes, they come with the labels! All the Type A people just peed a little and then passed out.
Many of these same spices are also used in this Crispy Oven-Fried Gnocchi and Veggies one-pan dish. Make a batch for a quick weeknight meal while you have all the ingredients out!
How Long Will Dairy-Free Avocado Ranch Dressing Last in the Fridge?
This Whole30 ranch will last for up to three days in the fridge. Pro tip: store the avocado dressing in a wide-mouth mason jar and drop the pit in to store with the dressing. This will help reduce any oxidation (browning).

The recipe calls for 1/3 cup of milk to make a pourable dressing. If you would prefer to serve this as a dip, only use enough milk to create a creamy texture.
If you’re looking for a true “dip” recipe and can consume dairy, check out my Avocado Yogurt Dip.
Pro Tips/Recipe Notes
- The flavor of the avocado ranch dressing will improve over time. If possible, chill for at least two hours after making it.
- If you would prefer to use fresh herbs, use 1 tbsp per 1 tsp mentioned in the recipe. Use 3/4 tsp fresh dill, and 1 1/4 tsp of fresh tarragon.
- This ranch is a great mayo substitute in this Whole30 Chicken Salad recipe.
Variations
- Add 1 tbsp of fresh lime juice to make this Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing.
- If you do like mayo, add 2 tbsp to the food processor with the rest of the ingredients. Try out my Whole30 mayo for a clean homemade version.
- If you can tolerate dairy, I highly recommend using buttermilk in this avocado ranch. If you have leftover buttermilk, make some Whole Wheat Waffles or Fluffy Whole Wheat Pancakes.
- Blend 1/4 of ONE chipotle pepper (canned chipotle in adobo sauce) to create a spicy ranch.
- Add 1/4 cup of cilantro to make a cilantro ranch dressing. If you have leftover cilantro, try making a batch of Cilantro Chimichurri.
More Dips and Dressings
- Buffalo Hummus
- Sweet Potato Fries Dipping Sauce (recipe calls for Greek yogurt, but you can sub in your favorite non-dairy yogurt).
- Paleo + Whole30 BBQ Sauce
- Lemon Tahini Dressing
- Subway Chipotle Sauce
- Healthy Ranch Dressing
- Gluten-Free Teriyaki Sauce
